“Convenient, good value and different”
You can hardly get closer to the centre of this delightful town without staying in a hotel, and this decidedly was not a hotel. Indeed, after the host had served breakfast, he disappeared for the day and the place was ours. It is old, very old having once been part of the monastery opposite. We entered through an almost hidden door to a small walled garden. Then climbed a kind of spiral stone staircase in an old tower to the room. The room was reasonable spacious, well furnished, comfortable with lots of interesting books and guides. We found the host spoke excellent English and was educated, well read, informative, affable and charming. He recommended the restaurants and made the bookings for us and enquired next day as to our experience, which was good. Parking ought to be a problem because there isn't any, but we always found a spot in the narrow street outside. The Logis is about 5 minutes quaint walk from the town centre past interesting shops and the ancient church. It is also close to the town market which was itself an education. In short, very convenient and comfortable and nicely priced with a good welcome and caring hosting.. Highly recommended."
